Most evaluations are completed within 3-5 business days after all required materials have been received. In some cases, more complex reviews may require additional time. If that occurs, our team will communicate clearly about next steps and timing.

School counselors play an essential role in helping students meet graduation requirements and navigate their overall academic experience. However, counselors typically support a broad student population and may not have specialized training in NCAA academic eligibility standards.
Cleared2Compete Collegiate Advisors focus exclusively on collegiate athletic eligibility. Our team brings direct experience working with NCAA rules and eligibility requirements, allowing us to provide detailed, individualized guidance tailored to student-athletes. Rather than focusing solely on graduation, we evaluate academic coursework, calculate eligibility metrics, and help students understand how their academic decisions impact their ability to compete at the collegiate level.
By working one on one with each student-athlete, we provide clarity, structure, and focused support designed to help families make informed decisions and avoid eligibility concerns later in the process.

The earlier a student-athlete receives eligibility guidance, the more options and flexibility they tend to have. Ideally, families begin working with Cleared2Compete when a student enrolls in high school, as early planning allows academic decisions to align with NCAA eligibility standards from the start.
That said, many families begin working with us during the sophomore year, which is still an effective time to review coursework, identify potential concerns, and make adjustments while there is ample time to stay on track. Waiting until the final year of high school or the semester before college enrollment often limits available options and may require more complex solutions.
Our advisors meet students where they are academically and provide guidance appropriate to their current grade level, helping families move forward with clarity and confidence.

In many cases, yes. Our goal is to review each student-athlete’s academic situation carefully and determine whether there are viable paths toward meeting collegiate eligibility standards. When possible, we work with families to identify solutions, outline next steps, and provide guidance on how to address academic gaps in a compliant and realistic way.
That said, eligibility options can become more limited depending on how late a student is in their high school career and the extent of the academic shortfall. In some situations, there may be no clear path to immediate eligibility under NCAA standards. When this occurs, we communicate openly and honestly so families can make informed decisions about next steps.
Our role is to provide clarity, transparency, and professional guidance based on each student’s individual circumstances.

Cleared2Compete works directly with student-athletes and their parents at the high school and junior college levels. We also partner with high school and club coaches, as well as school administrators, principals, and school districts seeking academic eligibility guidance and education.
Coaches or school administrators interested in having Cleared2Compete present at a school, team, or district event are encouraged to contact us at info@cleared2compete.com for additional information.

Eligibility appeals must be submitted by the compliance department at the student-athlete’s institution. Cleared2Compete does not file appeals on behalf of students or families.
However, we can assist by reviewing academic records, identifying relevant eligibility considerations, and helping families understand the information that may be needed by an institution’s compliance office. This groundwork can support informed conversations with the school’s compliance department and help families better navigate the appeals process.
Our role is to provide clarity and preparation so families can work effectively with the appropriate institutional partners.
